Featured PDC Approved 3 Star Pole Dancing Instructor Allyson Eidson.
The PDC team spoke to one of our most recently approved pole instructors Allyson Eidson. Allyson runs her own classes under the trading name of Pole Pop Pole Fitness and she also teaches for PDC Approved Pole dance School Pole Diamonds. We spoke to Allyson to find out more about how she got into pole dancing and her pole dancing CV to date.
A: "I always wanted to learn pole dancing since I was on holiday in the UK as a teenager and it was featured on the London episode of “Holiday: You Call The Shots.” I am originally from Augusta, Georgia, USA and moved to the UK in 2008. I finally gained the courage (none of my friends would go with me!) and started pole dancing lessons in August 2009. I eventually met some of my best friends in my pole dancing class and began my instructor training in 2010.
I am currently self- taught as well as learning from my fab pole boss at Pole Diamonds, Laura Beadle. I have also attended the past 2 Pole Passion’s training holidays abroad in Barcelona & Budapest where I get to spend time & train with my favourite southern polers! My favourite move is the Superman and I always love to learn new moves no matter how much they bruise or hurt.
When I am not found spinning around the pole, I can be found baking cupcakes and tassel twirling as burlesque performer Georgia Honey! As Georgia Honey (missgeorgiahoney.com), I am resident burlesque writer for Indigo Dance magazine (PDC Approved Pole Dance Magazine) as well as of course travelling the world- my next gig is in Sweden in October!
I can’t wait to continue my training & teaching, and meet more fabulous people in the pole world!"
