Emily’s Pole Fitness is holding a Pole Jam for Charity on UK Pole Dance Day - May 1st 2010!
Swindon and Wiltshire’s only PDC (Pole Dance Community) approved pole school; Emily’s Pole Fitness is inviting women from all over to join her at The Victoria in Old Town for 4 hours of fun and pole dancing on Saturday 1st May. A Pole Jam is an event where pole dancers and people interested in pole dancing meet up and take part in some pole dancing for fitness!
This May Day, Emily, founder of Emily’s Pole Fitness will be holding a Pole Jam in aid of Gynae C which is a charity supporting women with Gynaecological Cancer. Gynae C was set up by Helen Jackson who works extremely hard managing this charity single handed. “Gynae C was set up by my wonderful mother who I find a great inspiration. She has been through so much and has the heart and determination to help others in need.” Emily says.
This event is aimed at everyone from those who have never pole danced before and want to find out more about pole dancing for fitness to those who are advanced pole dancers. Emily will be there to answer any questions you may have and to show you a spin or two on the pole! The event forms part of the UK Pole Dance Day, a national annual event organised by the Equity Pole Dancers Working Party, the performers’ union. UK Pole Dance Day, now in its second year, encourages the public to look again at a dance form considered by many to be sole preserve of the gentlemen’s club. Emily’s classes are aimed at women of any shape, any size and any fitness level! “Anyone can give pole dancing a go!” Says Emily, “it’s not just about feeling sexy, it’s about having fun and achieving things you thought weren’t possible while keeping fit!”
Emily is a qualified fitness instructor and has been teaching pole dancing classes for 3 years, she is very passionate about teaching this extraordinary way to keep fit. “My aim is to pass everything I know on to others so they can experience how rewarding and exciting pole dancing for fitness can be.” Emily says.
The event starts at 12pm on Saturday 1st May and finishes at 4pm at The Victoria, 88 Victoria Road, Old Town, Swindon, SN1 3BD. The entry fee is only £2 and will be going towards Gynae C.
