The Pole Dance Community would like to welcome its latest new member Miranda Goldring from Pole Affinity (pictured below).
Pole Affinity is based in North Devon established in March 2008 by Miranda Goldring it is the first & only pole school in the area & they are very pleased to be awarded Pole Dance Community approval.
Miranda has a background in fitness & dance, & initially tried pole dancing out in Australia where she attended a class at Bobbies Pole Studio in Sydney and immediately fell in love with the art of Pole Fitness.
On return in 2007, Inspired by the likes of KT Coates, Jamilla Deville, Jenyne Butterfly & Felix Cane. Miranda brought an X Pole & set about self learning as there was nothing locally offering classes.
Miranda initially trained & worked with PoleCatz UK whilst completing her Fitness Instructors Certification and REPS certified Pole Fitness Instructor qualification. (Also- qualified in Kids Fitness, Urban Funk & Freestyle Fitness Yoga).
Regularly adding to her extensive range of pole moves by attending various master classes with some of the UK’s & world’s best pole dancers including Alesia Vazmitsel, (UK No. 1 in 2008 & 3rd in worlds 2009) Jenyne Butterfly( 2nd in worlds 2009) and Maxine Betts ( current UK No. 1 - 2009) to bring the best to her classes (picture below of a pole affinity pole dancing class).
Miranda promoted ‘R Pole’ at Miss Pole Dance UK 2009, & is on the judging panel for ‘Routine for the Nation’ 2010.
Pole Affinity classes are led by experienced & qualified fitness professionals with a friendly non-judgmental approach, moves are taught safely & within each participant’s capability & strength. All abilities, ages (18+), shapes & sizes are welcome.
Pole taster sessions are offered to give people an initial idea of what it’s like, before committing to a 6 week course. Our courses run from Levels 1 - 5 & consist of poses, transitions, spins, tricks, flexibility, strength training & routine work.
Following on from this there is the option to continue with ongoing advanced (pay monthly) classes.
Missed classes can always be made up in another group so students don’t miss out if unable to make class.
Classes are small in size, typically 2 people per pole and average 4- 8 persons per class; this enables the instructor to teach safely & give time & direct instruction to each & every participant to ensure you get the most out of every session. Private lessons & parties are also available. (picture below of Pole Affinity students)
